I’m happy to announce a major addition to my online portfolio, New American Landscapes. Using my experience documenting the changing urban landscape in L.A. as a starting point, I sought to capture a similar portrait of these unfamiliar cities. Although Los Angeles, Austin, Cambridge/Boston, and New Orleans are very different places it is easy to see the same underlying forces powering gentrification and displacement. Ultimately, this series is representative of the country as it is today, a place where the vast majority of urban investment benefits the least amount of those who need it most.
